What Freed does well
Everything about being straightforward. A published price, a real trial with no card, a signup that takes four minutes, and a product built by someone who did the job. Nobody else in this category is that easy to evaluate, and we are not either.
Disallowing 42 CFR Part 2 records in the terms is also to their credit. Most vendors say nothing and let you find out.
Where the tiers land
The $39 tier is 40 notes and the note only. Letters, patient instructions and ICD-10 coding are $119. If you are comparing $39 against anyone, check whether the comparison includes the thing you actually wanted, because on this tier it does not.
EHR push runs through a Chrome extension in beta. That is a real integration and it is also a browser extension in beta, and those are different assurances than a native connection.
What the evidence says
Freed has no randomised trial. Neither do we. Freed covers the note, and at $39 it is not pretending to do more. The phone, the booking, the deposit and the cancelled slot are yours, and in a solo practice they are yours personally, at seven in the evening.
The number this comparison misses
At $39 the note is the product and Freed says so plainly, which is more than most manage. From 2026 your E/M level turns on Medical Decision Making, so the note is the evidence for the code and the code is the money.55From 2026, Medical Decision Making is the primary basis for E/M level selection.
